We have finalized the works of expanding the Bridge over the River Ter in Sant Quirze de Besora, probably the bridge with greater technical complexity in its implementation. The previous bridge with 60 meters of light formed by three arches of reinforced concrete was the only access for vehicles and pedestrians between the old and the new part of town, as well as the towns of Vidrà y Santa Maria de Besora. It was a work of widening the existing bridge desk going from the previous 6 meters wide to 10 meters, and including two lanes and two sidewalks. Among the planned actions is the renewal of services crossing the bridge, its development and adaptation work and urbanization of hits.

The assembly of the new board took place in a special way as it was done through 30 prefabricated sections which were placed by the method of hydraulic jacks and provisional push rails. Another characteristic feature of this bridge was the added difficulty of having to allow the passage of pedestrians on the bridge itself throughout its implementation, ‘this fact has obliged us to be excellent on preventive measures, and to establish a great coordination and planning of all tasks’ – pointed the responsible for Civil Works in the company.
