The construction of the future begins by transforming the present: CALAF Grup’s new site offices
At CALAF Grup, we have always believed that innovation begins with a simple question: how can we do things better?
This concern led to an internal ideas competition focused on continuous improvement. Among the proposals, one resonated strongly:
From Idea to Reality
Based on this proposal, we created a cross-functional team with professionals from different areas of the group —construction, technical, sustainability, and architecture— and with the collaboration of experts from UPC and energy efficiency and space design studies. The key question was:
What would a site office look like if we prioritized well-being and sustainability?
The answer was the development of a new modular, demountable, and reusable prototype: a healthy and efficient space, capable of adapting to different contexts and functioning as a climate refuge, both in summer and winter.

Prototype Tested on Real Sites
The prototype has been tested on real construction sites, with objective data demonstrating improvements in comfort, efficiency, and user experience, making this new model a step forward in our commitment to sustainable innovation, circularity, and the well-being of the people who work daily in the sector.
Now, the project is a reality that is beginning to be present on our construction sites: CALAF Industrial manufactures the new site offices, which will be progressively implemented in our projects.
Dignifying Construction
With this initiative, we aim to go beyond technical innovation. Our purpose is to dignify construction, transforming habitually overlooked spaces into workplaces designed for people.
Because we are convinced that the construction of the future begins with the present, and that placing people and sustainability at the core is the best way to advance towards a more just, modern, and inspiring sector.
