The 5th Exhibition of Catalonian Architecture of Maresme, has proclaimed the Urbanization of the Riera of Arenys de Munt a “Chosen Project”. This work, carried out by Calaf Constructora, has allowed the urbanization of the roadway and sidewalks of the Rambla Eixample and the roadway of the Rambla Francesc Macià in Arenys de Munt. During the urbanization process, care was taken to preserve the banana trees, which are a symbol of the town’s identity, and a section was created to move the water away from the verges and back to the center of the promenade, thus solving the existing problem. Another aspect that was taken into account was to maintain the essence of the promenade, betting on some colors and shades of agglomerate in the color of sand. The work was completed in the autumn of 2015 and the architect in charge was Xavier Llistosella. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
