Building for the neighbourhood and the future of its children.

This project, carried out by CALAF Constructora, has made it possible to transform and expand the facilities of Escola Pia de Sitges with a focus on respect and urban integration. The intervention optimises the existing building and minimises the impact of new construction by creating new educational spaces through the lowering of the courtyard and the revaluation of the basement.

With a new small-scale building and a design adapted to the historic centre, the proposal succeeds in functionally unifying the entire school and improving its relationship with the urban environment. It is a project conceived with sustainability, efficiency and student well-being in mind, strengthening the link between school, neighbourhood and city, and responding to the social needs of the local community.
