The urban development of the Plana del Pont Nou sector in Manresa represents a strategic urban transformation and industrial development initiative, designed to generate new productive spaces and redefine one of the city’s main entrances. The project includes complementary works and the consolidation of basic urban development works for the partial plan, involving a large-scale intervention covering more than 300,000 m² across roadways, open spaces, green zones, and industrial plots.

The project structures a new industrial estate directly connected to the Eix Transversal via a major 40-meter-wide avenue, conceived as a new gateway to Manresa. The project combines significant earthworks, sanitation and utility networks, new rainwater collectors, street development, and the implementation of hydraulic and electrical infrastructure, with special attention to the landscape and environmental quality of the public space.

The development incorporates sustainability and territorial integration criteria, featuring natural drainage systems, lamination basins, open channels for rainwater management, and extensive green areas that connect the new sector with nearby agricultural and forest environments. The roadways, walkways, and pedestrian spaces have been sized to balance industrial mobility with urban routes and the connection to the Congost sports area and surrounding municipalities.

The result is a contemporary urban infrastructure that transforms an area pending development for decades into a new hub of economic activity for the city, strengthening Manresa’s connectivity, industrial capacity, and urban quality, while preserving historical legacy and creating high-quality cultural environments.
