A pioneering nursery school for a more inclusive education
CALAF Constructora has carried out the construction of the new El Escorial Municipal Nursery School, a unique project located in the La Salut neighborhood of Barcelona. The facility is the first municipal nursery school designed from its inception to integrate children with multiple disabilities into environments shared with other students.
With a meticulous and functional design, the result of collaborative work with the Guttmann Institute and Pompeu Fabra University, the building is distributed on a single ground floor with classrooms, multi-purpose spaces, adapted services, and an interior courtyard. The project represents a step forward in inclusive architecture, creating accessible and diversity-respecting environments from early childhood.
