An open, accessible library designed to foster knowledge

CALAF Constructora has built the new Gironella Library, a 1,000 m² cultural facility spread over two floors that addresses a historical demand from the municipality. The project, designed by architect Marc Alemany (EiPO), combines functionality and warmth in a newly built space conceived as a cultural and social engine.

The building features a ceramic ventilated facade, a double-height interior space with a sloped ceiling, and a panoramic elevator that visually connects with the entire complex. It has distinct areas such as the children’s room, press and magazine area, multimedia classroom, event hall, and an upper floor with reading points, general collection, and an area specialized in Romanesque art.

A project that reaffirms our experience in the construction of public facilities serving the community.
