A new green and recreational space for the neighborhood, integrated into the urban fabric and designed for everyone

CALAF Constructora has carried out the urban development of the southern area of Sant Andreu Barracks Park, a project that is part of the major urban transformation process of this emblematic Barcelona neighborhood. With an area of 6,706 m², the intervention has focused on the creation of a children’s play area and a set of floral flowerbeds that connect with the neighborhood axes and the main routes of the park.

The project, drafted by the ESTEYCO team and directed by the municipal council, has included topographical configuration, infrastructure adaptation, and the incorporation of vegetation, urban furniture, and adapted children’s play equipment. The park becomes a new green lung for the neighborhood, with a large multi-colored rubber area, accessible routes, and glazed ceramic planters that provide color and biodiversity throughout the year.

An intervention designed to integrate the memory of the place with new civic uses, fostering coexistence, play, and relaxation.
