A new football field that expands and strengthens the Les Comes sports complex

The project consisted of the construction of a second full-size football field at the Les Comes sports complex, in Igualada. The work was carried out on a site with a significant slope, formerly occupied by some gypsum quarries, which required careful intervention involving earthworks, retaining structures, and drainage to ensure the stability and integration of the new field within the sports complex.

The new sports area has been designed with a latest-generation artificial turf surface and regulation equipment, with the aim of expanding the sports complex’s usage capacity and improving training and competition conditions for local clubs.

Additionally, the intervention has enabled optimizing the connection between the two existing fields, creating new accesses and parking areas, and consolidating the Les Comes complex as a sports benchmark in the Anoia region.
